"Base iPhone 16 to Offer More Color Options Compared to the Pro Models"

As the iPhone 16 launch approaches, Bloomberg’s Apple insider Mark Gurman has revealed more insights. According to Gurman, the non-Pro iPhone 16 models will feature more vibrant color options compared to the Pro versions, although the overall design will remain similar to the iPhone 15, with one notable addition — a new camera button.

Leaks about a new color for the iPhone 16 Pro appear to be accurate, with Gurman confirming the change. While it won’t be a bronze tone as rumored, the new shade will be closer to gold, replacing the blue that debuted with the iPhone 15. The other color options for the Pro models — black, white, and natural titanium — will stay the same.

For the non-Pro models (the base and Plus versions), Apple will swap out the yellow color for a white variant, while introducing new shades of blue, green, and pink. These fresh colors give users another reason to consider upgrading to Apple’s latest devices.

Beyond the color updates, the iPhone 16 will also boast some impressive video recording capabilities. Expect 4K recording at 120 frames per second, support for ProRes, and a new multifunctional camera button that enhances the user experience.

However, Apple’s marketing focus remains heavily on AI, positioning it as the primary selling point for the iPhone 16. While this innovation is exciting, it’s worth noting that the phones themselves aren’t getting many significant performance upgrades, leaving few practical reasons for iPhone 15 users to switch over.

The launch will also see the European Union receiving a different version of the iPhone. This EU-specific model will lack the AI features but include third-party app stores and NFC payment options, making this perhaps one of the most fragmented iPhone releases in Apple’s history. Additionally, Apple Intelligence (AI) won’t be available at launch, which might dampen enthusiasm for some.

While the iPhone 16 will likely be one of the best phones on the market, it may not stand out as a major entry in Apple’s lineup this year.
